Summary

“Venetian Carnival Association” under the brand name “Deccadent” manages a platform where most content is provided by members.

You are responsible for your registration details and for everything you publish. You may not publish illegal or harmful content.

Venetian Carnival Association can monitor content published by members, but Deccadent is not liable for content published by members.

You agree to receive notifications or emails related to your profile. You can adjust which notifications you wish to receive in your Settings at any time.

Failure to comply with these terms may result in a (temporary or permanent) suspension of services without warning.

Deccadent’s liability is strictly limited.

Consent

The website www.iRectus.com and the Venetian Carnival Association applications available for download (the “Website”) are owned by the Venetian Carnival Association, located in Zwevegem.

By using this Website, you agree to the Terms and Conditions and become a full member of the Venetian Carnival Association. Do not use the Website if you do not agree with the Terms and Conditions.

Read the Privacy Statement and Code of Conduct. These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Statement and Code of Conduct, form the entire agreement between you and the Venetian Carnival Association (“Agreement”).

Website – Use and Access

The services provided by the Venetian Carnival Association are intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Website. If your country’s laws require a higher minimum age, then that age applies.

You must provide accurate, truthful, and non-misleading information about yourself. Update your details as they change. You declare that the information you publish does not violate the rights of any third party.

Membership

You gain access to the services and become a member by creating a profile on the Website. No one may register more than once, even under a different name. Membership is personal and cannot be transferred to third parties.

The Venetian Carnival Association has the right to refuse any membership application. Your membership starts only after receiving a confirmation email from www.iRectus.com.

You can terminate your membership at any time via your Settings.

Neither your termination nor our termination grants you any right to compensation.

The Venetian Carnival Association may terminate or suspend your membership at any time if you violate or are at risk of violating the Terms and Conditions. Such termination or suspension can occur without warning, but you will be informed afterward. After termination or suspension, you may not re-register or use our services unless you are notified that the suspension has been lifted.

You acknowledge and accept that termination of your membership, for any reason, may result in partial or complete removal of content you added to www.iRectus.com.

Member Obligations

Any use of the Website must comply with applicable laws. You may not use the Website if applicable laws prohibit it.

The Venetian Carnival Association may, without prior warning, forward your data to the relevant authorities if you violate the law. Our Privacy Statement explains how we handle your data.

You may not use the Website to sell goods or services or distribute promotional material without prior and explicit permission from Deccadent.

You must comply with the Code of Conduct when using the Website.

Content Published by Members

On www.iRectus.com, you can meet new people, chat, and share photos. Keeping www.iRectus.com safe and enjoyable is as important for us as it is for you.

You are responsible for all texts, photos, and other information you publish on www.iRectus.com.

In particular:

You may not publish insults, obscene material, or any content that undermines human dignity.
You may not harm other visitors by installing viruses or malware.
You may not publish misleading, defamatory, threatening, or offensive material.
You may not stalk other members or try to convince them of your political or religious beliefs. Excessive use of nationalist or religious symbols will not be tolerated.
You may not impersonate someone else. You must maintain your real identity in all your publications.
You may not publish illegal material or content that incites crime. Photos featuring weapons are not allowed.
You may not publish material that violates the intellectual property or portrait rights of others.
This is the Dutch version of www.iRectus.com. To enable communication and moderation, you may only use Dutch. This rule does not apply to quotes, poems, song lyrics, or jokes.

The Website may contain material that you find inappropriate.

The Venetian Carnival Association has the right, but not the obligation, to monitor members and their published content. It may intervene in disputes between members.

The Venetian Carnival Association has the right to remove any material that violates the Terms and Conditions or harms a third party.

Safety

Publishing confidential or sensitive material is at your own risk.

The use of logins, passwords, and other access credentials (“login details”) is the full responsibility of the user. Users must keep their login details confidential and secure. Users must immediately report misuse of their login details to iRectus at info@irectus.com.

You agree to take reasonable precautions when interacting with other members, especially if you decide to meet them offline. Read the Code of Conduct before using the Website.

Notifications and Service Messages

You agree that the Venetian Carnival Association may send you important notices via the Website, mobile apps, or email.

Your contact details must be correct to receive important notices. www.iRectus.com may also place a banner on the Website to inform you of changes.

Check your Settings to manage which messages you receive from www.iRectus.com.

Liability

The Website is a platform where members can publish information about themselves and connect with others. The Venetian Carnival Association does not arrange meetings, relationships, or relationship advice. While the Website infrastructure is provided, the content is largely published by members. The Venetian Carnival Association cannot be held responsible for any behavior of its members.

The Venetian Carnival Association takes reasonable measures to keep the Website operational and free of bugs, but continuous and error-free operation is not guaranteed.

You agree to indemnify us against all third-party claims related to your use of the Website.

Intellectual Property Rights

Trademarks, logos, images, photos, animations, videos, and text on www.iRectus.com are the intellectual property of the Venetian Carnival Association and may not be reproduced, used, published, or distributed without explicit prior written consent from iRectus.

Event Cancellations by the Venetian Carnival Association

If an event is canceled due to low participation or other circumstances, all registrants will receive a refund. If the event is postponed, registrants may choose a refund or transfer to the new date.

Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

This Agreement is governed by Belgian law. In case of disputes, the Courts of Leuven, Belgium, have jurisdiction.

The Venetian Carnival Association may change these terms at any time. Changes take effect 30 days after publication. Continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
